June 11th, 2025

Hi all,

Sasha here - I've bumped Chris this Wednesday (don't worry, he'll be back next issue).  June is shaping up to be a month highlighting the power of partnerships and community.  Last week, we welcomed our valued partner, the City of Toronto, to the LIZ.  We also launched applications for the third cohort of the Global Incubator Programme in partnership with Innovate UK.  Next week, our Summer Social takes place and we look forward to bringing together the LIZ's vibrant community.  We hope to see you there.

All the best,

Sasha Saunders
Director

1. What excites you most about the work you're doing?

Being a part of the process of building really cool products that thousands of people use everyday is very exciting. As someone who is new to the legal tech industry, I learn something new every day from people with much more experience than myself.

2. What’s a typical day like working at Vaultie?

A typical day can vary quite a bit, depending on the stage of the project the team is in. A day can consist of meetings with various stakeholders all day, or doing deep work diving into an RFP and writing proposals for new projects. Something I do almost everyday is reviewing design work with the product designer and providing feedback, using past customer data to inform the direction and development of new features.

3. What’s a book, podcast, or resource that has influenced you the most?

The book of Proverbs from the Bible

4. What's the best advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I have received is “If you don’t ask, the answer is always no”

5. What's the best advice you’ve ever received?
