Happy October! This month has been filled with activity, community, and much collaboration. We welcomed our incoming cohort of UK companies for their first Toronto Market Visit, gathered together at the LIZ's Fall Into Innovation Social, and have engaged with our wider legal and entrepreneurial ecosystem at various events. Now, we're delighted to join forces with MT Ventures, a Division of McCarthy Tétrault, to announce the launch of our Startup SuperCharger pilot! For this and more, read on.

We're thrilled to be joining forces with MT Ventures, a division of McCarthy Tétrault, to pilot an exclusive Startup SuperCharger Program for incubated LIZ companies preparing to fundraise.
Running from October 2025 to March 2026, this seven-stage series will cover fundamentals for investment readiness and end in a final demo day showcasing participating startups.

Global Incubator Programme: Market Visit One |

Earlier this month, the LIZ and Innovate UK launched our third cohort of the Global Incubator Programme with an initial Market Visit to Toronto.
The incoming UK companies were immersed in five days of interactive learning, ecosystem visits, networking engagements and more.

The Founders podcast and Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill have deeply shaped me. From Andrew Carnegie to Steve Jobs, they reveal timeless lessons in persistence, creativity, and leadership that continue to guide how I build and lead. |
4. How do you unwind at the end of the day? |
|
I relax by sitting in the backyard with a cold beer, the gas fire crackling, and the night sky above. Staring into the fire in silence clears my mind and helps me reset for the next day. |
